Compliance Officer

• Job Responsibilities
  
  • Ensure all compliance reviews/reports are being performed timely, are adequate and appropriately documented
  • Monitoring compliance to regulatory and internal policies, processes and procedures by staff
  • Daily resolution of compliance issues emanating from the branch/cluster in line with all applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Monthly reports on compliance Status to the Managing Director
  • Reporting all forms of compliance breaches to the Chief Compliance Officer
  • Work closely with the Business and other key stakeholders such as Operations and Technology to identify and mitigate the risks associated with existing and new business with emphasis on higher risk customers and transactions.
  Skills and Requirements
  
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the Banking sector
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Fintech space will be an added advantage

  Head, Internal Audit & Compliance

  • Responsibilities
    • Ensure the proper planning for regular audits and compliance testing
    • Ensure adequate monitoring of the institution's annual audit plan development and implementation
    • Identify areas requiring attention and ensures implementation of any actions
    • Evaluate the internal control systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws, regulations, contracts, and ethical business conduct.
    • Conduct ad-hoc audit reviews to investigate any areas identified by management.
    • Report periodically to the Board of Directors.
    Skills and Requirements
    • A Bachelor's Degree or HND in any Accounting or Social Sciences related discipline
    • A Master’s Degree in business related field or management is an added advantage
    • Membership of ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, CIMA, IIA, CISA or a recognized professional accounting / auditing association is required
    • Minimum of 7 years working experience in an accounting/auditing role is required of which at least 4 should be at managerial position.

    Chief Financial Officer

    Responsibilities
    • Prepare the company's financial statements (monthly, quarterly and annually), file and publish quarterly returns with regulators
    • Oversee the preparation of ad-hoc and monthly reports, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections
    • Manage the budget preparation process, organize budget sessions for all the businesses within the group and influence business budget reviews
    • Ensure that the company's cash flow position is properly managed and financial processes are continuously improved, appropriate, efficient and driven by cost management initiatives
    • Manage the Treasury
    • Oversee the Company's transaction processing systems and the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations
    • Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
    Requirements
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
    • An MBA in Finance is an added advantage
    • Professional certification in ICAN/ACCA/ACA/CIMA or any other recognized Professional certification in Accounting
    • Minimum of Seven (7) years relevant work experience – Senior Management in an Asset Management company experience required.
    • Evidence of technical competencies in Financial Analysis & Interpretation, Financial Management & Corporate Finance, Tax management, IT System e.tc
    • Good knowledge of IFRS and other accounting standards
